Our Mission

To work with every Primary School in the Neath Port Talbot Borough to raise awareness to the children of the importance of good nutrition, hydration, and hygiene along with an active lifestyle.

What is Primestart?

* Primestart holds fun days in schools with our coaches, community team, players and health and nutritional experts. nutritional>
* Primestart has a programme of events held in and for schools designed to promote a love for rugby and healthy living.
* Primestart holds festivals at the Gnoll to test the children on the knowledge and skills that they have learnt through the initiative.
* Primestarts' goal is to create the rugby stars of tomorrow by helping to kick-start a healthy happy life.
* Each school will receive a minimum of six one-hour coaching sessions incorporating the Physical Education curriculum and Healthy Schools initiative per annum.
* Primestart will "teach the teacher" and fund the cost of a recognised WRU rugby coaching course.
* FREE sports equipment to the value of £250 is provided to every school taking part in the initiative.
* Primestart draws on examples of other outreach programmes offered by other professional sports clubs, and the first that goes beyond the remit of purely sport to embrace diet, health and hygiene.
* Primestart has taken a balanced physical activity and healthy living scheme into 48 primary and special needs schools in the two years since it's launch.
* With a new addition to our Primestart Team we are now able to deliver our sessions bilingually to the teachers and children.

Beth yw Primestart?

* Mae Primestart yn cynnal diwrnodau hwyl mewn ysgolion gyda'n hyfforddwyr, ein tîm cymunedol, ein chwaraewyr ac arbenigwyr iechyd a maethiad.
* Mae gan Primestart raglen o ddigwyddiadau sy'n cael eu cynnal mewn ac ar gyfer ysgolion, wedi'u cynllunio i hyrwyddo cariad am rygbi a byw'n iach.
* Mae Primestart yn cynnal gwyliau yn y Gnoll er mwyn profi'r wybodaeth a'r sgiliau mae'r plant wedi eu dysgu drwy'r fenter.
* Bwriad Primestart yw creu sêr rygbi yfory drwy helpu i roi hwb i ddechrau bywyd iach a hapus.
* Dros gyfnod o dair blynedd, bydd pob ysgol yn derbyn o leiaf pedair sesiwn hyfforddi awr o hyd sy'n ymgorffori'r cwricwlwm Addysg Gorfforol a Menter Ysgolion Iach.
* Bydd Primestart yn "dysgu'r athro" ac yn ariannu cost cwrs hyfforddi rygbi sy'n gydnabyddedig gan Undeb Rygbi Cymru.
* Darperir offer chwaraeon yn RHAD AC AM DDIM hyd at werth o £250 i bob ysgol sy'n cymryd rhan yn y fenter.
* Mae Primestart yn tynnu ar enghreifftiau o raglenni maes eraill sy'n cael eu cynnig gan glybiau chwaraeon proffesiynol eraill, a Primestart yw'r rhaglen gyntaf sy'n mynd y tu hwnt i gylch gwaith o chwaraeon yn unig ac yn cynnwys deiet, iechyd a glanweithdra.
* Mae Primestart wedi mynd â chynllun cytbwys o weithgarwch corfforol a byw'n iach i mewn i 34 o ysgolion cynradd ac anghenion arbennig yn y flwyddyn gyntaf ers iddo gael ei lansio.
