Neath Rugby Need You - For Painting...
Last night Neath AFC confirmed that they are taking on Swansea City in a pre season friendly at the Gnoll on July 20th.
It is hoped that the game, like last year will attract a bumper crowd but the backroom staff at Neath Rugby need your help to ensure the ground is ready for the fixture.
Groundsman Stuart Williams is recovering from a recent knee operation, and consequently this has delayed the painting process for him and Health and Safety officer Dave Howells.
The boys now have a race against time to get the ground looking like a new pin in just 18 days.
The paint and paintbrushes are ready and all Stuart and Dave need now are enthusiastic teams willing to give a hand.
So if you're a supporter of Neath Rugby with some spare time on your hands and the ability to paint and want to be part of ensuring we are ready for the start of the sporting season please contact Stuart with your availability.
Neath Rugby will then have a Painters Hospitality Day out at the Gnoll once the season starts, to thank everyone for their kindness.
Quote from Stuart Williams, Groundsman at Neath Rugby:
"The pre season is always the busiest time of the year for Dave and I. The pitch is ready for the match but we just need a extra helping hand where the painting of the ground is concerned.
The Swans is a massive game not only for Neath AFC but for the Gnoll and the local community and we want to ensure we do the football boys justice with a stadium that looks in tip top condition.
Anyone who is willing to give a hand can contact me directly with their availability on 07515405025."
