Neath's Got Talent Auditions to take place to find the next Brian the Bull.
Neath Rugby are on the hunt for a new Brian the Bull after longstanding supporter Mark Jones stood down from duty at the end of the season.
Brian The Bull has been an integral part of life at the Gnoll for the past 10 years, his trademark being his halt time sing along at matches playing his blow up guitar and saxophone - a favourite among young Neath supporters.
The furry mascot has also been a key part of the clubs primestart schools initiative, being present for school visits, festivals and childrens parties.
But most importantly he has also been an integral part of the Neath community, switching on the Christmas lights in Neath town centre for the last three years and winning the mascot race at Neath Rugby's annual fireworks display.
Ultimately Mark's replacement needs to wear the Neath jersey with pride and act as an ambassador for the club. We are looking for an individual who is enthusiastic and passionate, keen for a challenge, have experience of working with children and wants to give something back to the Neath community.
The club will be holding open auditions at 6pm on Monday 13th July, whereby individuals will be asked to don Bully's head and perform in front of a panel of judges.
Those wishing to attend the audition are asked to call Rachel Gardiner at Neath Rugby on 01639 622030 or email her at r.gardiner@neathrugby.co.uk no later than 12 noon on Thursday 9th July.
Deenna Barton, Neath Rugby's commercial manager commented:
"Brian the Bull has been a vital part of our Neath Rugby family and the local community over the last 10 years.
We therefore need someone who is passionate about our club and Neath as a town to fill the hooves of Mark Jones.
Open autions will give those who think they have what it takes to be Bully the chance to showcase what they can offer Neath Rugby, and a great response is expected."
